Both porches are conveniently located off the kitchen and main dining area—perfect for serving snacks, drinks, or just stepping out for a breath of fresh lake air.
The lower level is all about fun and reconnection. Challenge your crew to a game of pool or ping pong, dive into a board game, or cozy up at the card table and courtesy bar. When it’s time to unwind, gather in the private theatre room to relive the day’s adventures on a massive 90-inch high-definition screen.

Down at the dock, the real magic continues. Swim, fish, kayak, or simply relax and soak in the endless water views. The water is deep—ideal for jumping in, tubing, or wakeboarding with confidence.

The Yellowstone is located on the Main Lake at Mile Marker 17 and provides the perfect setting for memories that will last a lifetime.  Conveniently located just a few miles from Interstate 85, the property is approximately 1 hour away from both Raleigh and Richmond, making it easily accessible for guests traveling from these major cities. If you'd like to explore the surrounding area, the award-winning Rosemont Winery, Shady Shack Bar and Grill, and Tanglewood Shores Golf Club's 9-hole golf course are all just a few miles down the road.  The town of South Hill is just 20 minutes away and offers convenient stores including Wal-Mart, Food Lion, CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks and several restaurants.

A few more tid-bits...  :)

1.  Trained service animals are welcome!  Otherwise, we have a strict "no pets" policy.  We can help arrange lodging for your pets at a local boarding facility during your stay. Please let us know well in advance, as they fill up fast.

2.  The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system.  This system is a finely balanced biological system.  Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper.  Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.

3.  Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves.  Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats. Please make sure to bring your bumpers!.

4.  Culverts & Bridges:  Be sure to lower your Bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts.  Appearances can be deceiving, and the water levels can flucuate daily!

5.  Life Jackets: While a variety of life jackets are provided, they are not guaranteed in every size. Please bring life jackets specific to individual needs.

Linens Provided:  Linens are charged as a separate fee and will be available at the home, safety-sealed, at the foot of each bed.  
Towels Provided:   Each guest is provided bath towel and a washcloth as part of the linen package. Guests will find their bath towels folded on each bed. NOTE: We do not provide beach towels or dock towels!
 

Check In: 4pm | Check Out: 10am 
Arriving before check-in time or departing after check-out time without prior approval will result in a fee of $200.
**Early check-in and late check-out are usually available during the off season for a fee of $99 each. By purchasing these options you will be able to enter or exit the property at 1:00pm.

No Pets 
With the execption of service animals, no pets are permitted at the property for any reason.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. 

Cancellation Policy 
Reservations cancelled up to 30 days before arrival will receive 100% refund. Reservations cancelled between 14-29 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable. All Cancellations minus a $50 administration fee.
