Much cleaner than any other lake home I have ever rented. The house was very nice. I am pretty picky on cleanliness and I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the house was. There were several "extras" that we really enjoyed (The ice maker, the charging station in the bedroom). The boat dock is also very nice and having access to the paddle boards was a nice extra. We have a large wake surf boat and the depth at the dock was fine.

Booking was easy and there was always email communication which was nice!

The team was very responsive and was quick to help when we had an after hours question.

Perfect lake cottage! The house was just as pictured. The walk to the lake was easy and we loved spending time down at the dock, fishing and enjoying the view!

The Chateau at Ferncliff was absolutely gorgeous. The house had everything that was needed.

This vacation home is set up for families with accommodations for small children and plenty of water activities to do. Loved the huge walk in pantry. We could have used an additional bathroom but we made do. - Daniel

Helpful and polite. When we arrived, the outside trash was overflowing, but the staff took care of it right away.

Our stay at Chteau Ferncliff was perfect. There was plenty of room for all of our family to eat, sleep, and play. The kitchen and dining area made many meal time memories. The 2 living areas allowed the kids to have their space and the adults to have a place to hangout too. All the beds were super comfy and great closet space to hang our clothes. The lake views from the house and dock were exactly what we all needed. We enjoyed the sunsets and boat watching from house as well as the dock. The neighborhood was beautiful and we enjoyed morning walks and evening golf cart rides. We brought our boat which made the dock a huge asset, and waking up and walking outside to start our day in the water was so much easier!

We had a very relaxing week of floating in the lake, watching hummingbirds and eating lots of snacks on the dock. We spotted a bald eagle soaring over the lake as well. Thank you for sharing this beautiful space with our family!

We had a fantastic week!

Having never stayed at a home on Lake Gaston before I did not know what to expect. I was not disappointed!! The house we stayed at was the "Grandview Lodge" and it was fantastic! Located right on the lake this huge house had everything we wanted and more than we expected! The home has two levels. The upper level has a huge open floor plan with windows that span the two story height and length of the room giving an unbelievable view of the lake. There are comfortable leather sofas to relax in while either watching tv or looking at the lake view. The kitchen is open to the living area so I never felt cut off from the group when I was in the kitchen preparing food. The kitchen had granite counters and was stocked with everything you could ever need including spices, coffee maker, air fryer, plenty of utensils and dishes etc. The best stocked kitchen I have seen in a rental. There was a dining table and chairs and counter stools but we also enjoyed eating at the table on the enclosed porch or on the upper level deck overlooking the lake. The lower level is a walk out and also very nice. What we loved was that there was a second living area on this level with a comfy sectional and a bar area. Adjacent to the living area was a game room with a ping pong table, table and chairs and tons and tons of games. The 6 bedrooms were all comfortable and there are 3 baths, plenty to accommodate a large group. This house also has a large dock so we were able to dock our boat right in our back yard and go out anytime we wished. Our group had a great time- plenty of space to spread out and do whatever we wanted. I would definitely stay there again!

We had an excellent Lake Gaston vacation staying at the Grandview Lodge. The home is perfectly situated and meticulously maintained - very spacious and right on the water with expansive views of the lake. The main living is open concept with high ceilings - very clean, comfortable, and updated throughout. Perfect for families, groups, and kids with many games and activities including ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and many board games. The dock is large and is a great place for swimming and relaxing. Kayaks and a paddle board are also provided. The house is on a cul-de-sac at the end of a peninsula which makes for a peaceful and serene environment. We highly recommend the Grandview Lodge.

The property managers (Les and Bonnie Burleson) were responsive and kind.

We had a fantastic experience at 5 Mile Sunrise with our large mixed group. We had four families, but there was plenty of room for everyone. The main lake location was absolutely perfect! We swam right off the dock every day, enjoyed all of the watersports equipment provided (SUPs, small kayaks, inflatables, tube), and easily docked the pontoon boat we rented for the week. The house was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was really well stocked for cooking (we didn't eat out due to COVID), and the pantry was well stocked as well. The beds were really comfortable and the linens and towels provided were really nice. We have zero complaints and highly recommend the house!

Les was so great at answering all of our questions and assisting us in any way he could. Ryan was a life saver. He came on a Sunday to get rid of a mayfly swarm on the dock. He stayed for several hours to get it all taken care of. He was so kind and helpful!

Still Water Refuge is a great house! We loved the location, as it wasnt in such a busy area. The house is beautiful and had anything we could have possibly needed to make our stay comfortable! There was plenty of room for our large family to gather, but also have separate space. The sunset views are simply gorgeous!
